Gisele Bousquet is a social and cultural anthropologist whose work is on the urbanization in Vietnam and the Vietnamese diaspora in Europe and the United States. 她收到了 她的Ph值.D. in Anthropology at UC Berkeley and holds a Master's in City and Regional Planning from UC Berkeley. Her current research focuses on the emergence of new urban neighborhoods in Hanoi and how social and cultural spaces are contested and negotiated. Her publications include two ethnographies: Urbanization in Vietnam (2015)和 Behind the Bamboo Hedge: The Impact of 首页land Politics in the Parisian Vietnamese 社区 (1991), and two co edited volumes: Le Vietnam au Feminin/ Việt Nam: Women’s Realities, with Nora Taylor (2005) and Viêt Nam Exposé: French Scholarship on Twenty Century Vietnamese Society, with Pierre Brocheux (2002).
